Network are specialised at maintaining and securing both Microsoft and Linux systems.  Typical configurations are Microsoft Server 2003 running Exchange, Terminal Services, Mobile (ActiveSync) and Outlook Web Access (OWA).  As experienced system administrators Network is able to rapidly identify and solve any problems normally through instant remote access.

Presently we are seeking recent graduates to fill opportunities in two areas: Technical Development and Business Development.  In addition we are looking to take on undergraduates or recent graduates on placements during the summer vacation.

Technical Development (full-time) Requirements

Network requires staff with a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline who can demonstrate experience in programming.  Network develops within a multitude of environments.  Familiarity with database environments and Java are essential.  Experience with PostgreSQL and J2EE would be advantageous.

Business Development (full-time) Requirements

Network requires people who are interested in this unique opportunity to take a new software product to market.  Knowledge of Sales Processes and Marketing are essential to help take the business forward within this competitive environment.  Work will be hard within this role but rewards will reflect results, and the potential for career development is an opportunity not to be missed.

Network Data or Information Extraction Tool

This is a program that enables you to specify a web site with data which you want to collect then configure the application to download all of the data.  The data is stored in a database and can be exported to Microsoft Excel or CSV for ease-of-use.

The tool will automatically open the first page, download the data, place it into the database then open the next page with the data download and store etc.  This continues until all the data you require is downloaded.  The tool is particularly useful when either one large download of table based data is required or repeated downloads of similar are required.

Technical Document Writing - Functional Specification Design

Network now has considerable experience in writing technical documents which define the functional requirements of a piece of IT work.  Our documents enable our clients to make mistakes with applications whilst they are still on the drawing board thus saving considerable expense and delay in developing a solution that is poorly specified.

Many IT projects fail through bad planning and failing to specify clear outcomes and deliverables from a vendor.  Network understands clearly clients' needs specifying the requirements in writing, modelling and mock-ups.  Once our clients can see that their requirements are clearly specified, vendors can be approached to deliver the solution.

Clear specification means that IT projects run to time and budget.

Web Site Development

Network develops websites using open source content management systems.  Network's solutions provide a cost-effective platform for our clients to grow their web presence and standing.  The primary focus of the websties that Network build is to be easy to use and put the control of the site into our clients' hands.
